Officially announcing the annual Charity Akita 2018 Halloween Party!

We are honored to once again be hosting our annual Halloween Party at Jamhouse for their final event before closing! We are sad to see Jamhouse go, but happy for all the great memories.

This year Jamhouse is hiring special guest DJs KZA and TIMOTHY REAL LAB, along with others, to perform in two (that’s right! Not one but two) dance rooms! I hope you’re ready.

As usual, Jamhouse will provide a fully stocked professionally served bar and Charity Akita will host a raffle and costume contest. You can buy your raffle tickets at the door. The winner receives half the pot, and the rest will be donated to Akita Frog, a local non-profit organization that builds playgrounds for children around the prefecture.

Additionally, a portion of proceeds collected from the admission price (¥2500) will be donated to Blue for Japan. Formerly known as “Blue for Tohoku”, the non-profit started as an organization to support those who suffered from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since then they have expanded their reach to supporting children’s care facilities across the country. We are happy to support these two organizations.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

For this event, we need volunteers for set up and takedown, collecting admissions at the door, as well as folks to hand out candy during the night! Volunteers will receive a discount on general admission. If you are interested in any of these positions, please fill out our form.
