The time has come to elect a new board for the 2019-2020 year. All members will be leaving Japan come July, excluding this tired old secretary, meaning all positions are open.
Though our charter cites a preference toward folks who have regularly volunteered with Charity Akita, we will consider any and all applicants. If you have a passion for charitable work and would like to see Charity Akita continue (and grow!) then we encourage you to apply.
There is no deadline, however, in accordance with the Charity Akita charter the new board will be decided by May 31 (before the annual review in July). Please review the charter if you want to better understand the duties and responsibilities of Charity Akita board members.
