Would you like to help reduce the rubbish on local beaches, while also having fun in the sun? If so, then we have a volunteer activity for you! Charity Akita has organized a beach cleanup at Iwaki beach, near Iwaki Michi no Eki on Saturday, May 28th, from 10:00 to 13:00.
There’s no need to sign up, just show up! If you want to bring anything, please bring a hat, sunscreen, and sturdy gloves. We will separate the rubbish according to municipal waste guidelines, so we will handle bag supplies.
If you are taking public transportation, we recommend taking a train on the Uetsu Line bound for Sakata, and getting off at Iwakiminato Station. It’s a short walk from the station.
